“Chayut is a lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. Prior to joining the university, he graduated from the Birmingham Centre for Railway Research and Education (BCRRE), School of Engineering, University of Birmingham. During his PhD study, he was appointed as a research assistant for European Commission Project No. 691135 RISEN Rail Infrastructure Systems Engineering Network (www.risen2rail.eu). His research focuses cover a wide range of civil and railway engineering including structural engineering, structural dynamics, railway infrastructure, structural vibration etc. He has been selected as a reviewer in many well-known international journals. He won the first ever Joseph M. Sussman prize for the best article published in Frontiers in Built Environment — Transportation and Transit Systems in 2018. A few recent awards include the people’s choice award PGR symposium 2019, RISEN workshop best presentation award 2019 and UoB’s Ratcliffe Prize for the best postgraduate research student in the science schools.”
